I hope that this letter finds you healthy and looking forward to the holidays.
As we approach the beginning of the second trimester, I write to you offering an update to our commitment that we will do our best to keep your children safe, and ensure that their educational experience is not compromised.
During our parent information session last month, I shared the proposed adjustments for providing students with more synchronous (live) instruction beginning the week of December 14th. If you elected to have your child engage in 100% remote learning and would like hybrid learning (in-person) attending school two days a week please email:
Lynn Jacoby at email@example.com
Students engaging in hybrid learning will continue to attend in person two days a week and engage in remote learning for the remaining three days. All students will be engaged in asynchronous learning remotely on Wednesdays and the building will be closed for students for deep cleaning and disinfecting.
In an effort to continue minimizing the risk we will continue to follow safety protocols, facility management, social distancing guidelines, and maintain our student population by as much as 50%.
It is our expectation that students will engage in learning and do the following:
Attend all classes on their remote- learning days and actively participate by engaging in class discussions and activities.
In an effort to maximize student engagement during lessons when attending in a remote setting, Monday through Friday, students are expected to keep their cameras on and remain visible on the screen (Background blur is encouraged).
To minimize distractions while learning from home, headphones are encouraged.
All students will always be respectful of the virtual and in-person classroom environment.
As always, please reach out to your teachers if any issues or concerns arise.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership,
