  • Voter Registration Information for the 2016-2017 Budget & Board of Education Election

    To cast a vote in the Elmsford Union Free School District annual budget vote, Board of Education member elections or special referendums, you must be registered with either the District or the Westchester County Board of Elections. You may register for school voting at the District Clerk’s office at the District Office, 98 S. Goodwin Avenue, Elmsford, from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. during regular school days.

    The deadline to register to vote is May 12, 2016. Please note that if you were registered to vote in Westchester County but have since moved to the Elmsford Union Free School District, you must be registered with the county using your Elmsford address to be eligible to vote.

    To register to vote, you must be a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years old, and a resident of the District for at least 30 days before the vote.

    Any person who is registered with the Westchester County Board of Elections in the District need not register separately with the District.

    Any person who voted in any of the District referendums after May 2011 need not register with the District again.

    Any person who is not registered with the county and did not vote in any of the District elections since May 2011 is not eligible to vote in the District’s May 17 budget vote or Board member election.

    Absentee Ballot Applications and Procedures

    Absentee ballots are available for registered voters who will not be in Elmsford on May 17.

    A person must complete an absentee ballot application prior to receiving the actual absentee ballot. Absentee ballot applications are available by calling the district clerk at 914-592-6632 or by visiting the District’s website, www.eufsd.org , and clicking on the “EUFSD Budget Information” link.

    May 10, 2016 is the deadline to submit an absentee ballot application if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter.

    May 16, 2016 is the deadline to submit an absentee ballot application if the ballot is to be picked up by the voter at 98 S. Goodwin Avenue, Elmsford, NY.

    May 17, 2016 at 5 p.m. is the deadline for absentee ballots to be received by the district clerk.
