UNIVERSAL PRE-K REGISTRATION 2026-27

 

A PRELIMINARY APPLICATION FOR THE 2026-27 PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE NOW. 

 

The Elmsford Union Free School District will offer a limited number of Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) seats for the 2026–27 school year in partnership with YMCA of Central Westchester at Holy Name of Jesus, located at 2 Broadway, Valhalla, NY 10595.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for the UPK program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

 

• The child must reside within the Elmsford Union Free School District.
• The child must turn four (4) years old on or before December 1, 2026.

 

Application Window:

Preliminary applications will be accepted starting Monday, February 2, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. and must be submitted no later than Monday, March 9, 2026 at 3:30 p.m.

After the application deadline, all submissions will be reviewed. Families who complete the preliminary application will receive additional information regarding next steps. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available seats, the District will conduct a random selection process, as required by the New York State Education Department.

 

Important Notice:

Submitting a preliminary application does not guarantee placement in the program and does not obligate families to participate. Families whose children are selected for the UPK program will be required to complete district registration within three (3) weeks of receiving notification of acceptance. Failure to submit all required registration forms and documentation within this timeframe will result in forfeiture of the child’s seat.

INSCRIPCIÓN UNIVERSAL DE PRE-K

YA ESTÁ DISPONIBLE UNA SOLICITUD PRELIMINAR PARA EL PROGRAMA DE PRE KÍNDER 2026–27.

El Distrito Escolar Libre de la Unión de Elmsford ofrecerá un número limitado de cupos de Pre-Kínder Universal (UPK) para el año escolar 2026–27, en colaboración con la YMCA de Central Westchester en Holy Name of Jesus, ubicada en 2 Broadway, Valhalla, NY 10595.

Requisitos de elegibilidad:
Para ser elegible para el programa UPK, los solicitantes deben cumplir con los siguientes criterios:

• El niño o la niña debe cumplir cuatro (4) años de edad en o antes del 1 de diciembre de 2026.

Período de solicitud:
Las solicitudes preliminares se aceptarán a partir del lunes 2 de febrero de 2026 a las 8:30 a.m. y deberán enviarse a más tardar el lunes 9 de marzo de 2026 a las 3:30 p.m.

Después de la fecha límite, todas las solicitudes serán revisadas. Las familias que completen la solicitud preliminar recibirán información adicional sobre los próximos pasos. Si el número de solicitantes excede el número de cupos disponibles, el Distrito llevará a cabo un proceso de selección aleatoria, según lo exige el Departamento de Educación del Estado de Nueva York.

Aviso importante:
La presentación de una solicitud preliminar no garantiza la colocación en el programa ni obliga a las familias a participar. Las familias cuyos hijos sean seleccionados para el programa UPK deberán completar el registro del distrito dentro de las tres (3) semanas posteriores a la notificación de aceptación. El no presentar todos los formularios de registro y la documentación requerida dentro de este plazo resultará en la pérdida del cupo del niño o la niña.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION 2026–27: FOR STUDENTS NEW TO THE ELMSFORD UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT

Kindergarten registration for the 2026–27 school year will open on Monday, February 9, 2026.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for kindergarten, a child must meet both of the following criteria:

• Be five (5) years old on or before December 1, 2026
• Reside within the Elmsford Union Free School District

How to Apply:

To begin the application process:

Step 1: Complete the Kindergarten Preliminary Application Form 2026-2027 (English Version) or (Spanish Version) to receive additional information by the Elmsford Union Free School District about the 2026–2027 Kindergarten program.

 

Step 2: Complete the “Online Registration” form linked on the left side of this page. Select “Begin Online Registration.” Online registration is available in English and Spanish.

Step 3: Once your application has been submitted, reviewed, and approved, you will receive an email with instructions for uploading the required proof of residency and identification documents through our secure online platform.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION 2026–27: FOR STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN THE DISTRICT’S PRE-K PROGRAM AT YMCA – HOLY NAME OF JESUS, 2 BROADWAY, VALHALLA, NY 10595

Students who are currently enrolled in Pre-K at YMCA Holy Name of Jesus and plan to attend Kindergarten in the Elmsford Union Free School District for the 2026–2027 school year do not need to complete a new online registration, as their information is already on file with the district.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for Kindergarten, a child must meet both of the following criteria:

• Be five (5) years old on or before December 1, 2026
• Reside within the Elmsford Union Free School District

How to Apply:

The Registrar will be available on site on designated dates to meet with parents/guardians. During these in-person meetings, families will have the opportunity to complete any additional paperwork required for Kindergarten enrollment and submit any necessary documentation.

 

Additional information regarding on-site meeting dates, times, and required documents will be shared with families in advance.

La inscripción para Kindergarten del año escolar 2026–2027 comenzará el lunes 9 de febrero de 2026.

Para comenzar el proceso de inscripción, siga los pasos a continuación:

 

Paso 1: Complete el Formulario Preliminar de Solicitud para Kindergarten 2026–2027 (versión en inglés) o (versión en español) para recibir información adicional del Distrito Escolar Elmsford Union Free sobre el programa de Kindergarten 2026–2027.

 

Paso 2: Complete el formulario de “Inscripción en Línea” que se encuentra en el enlace del lado izquierdo de esta página. Seleccione “Comenzar Inscripción en Línea.”

La inscripción en línea está disponible en inglés y español.

 

Paso 3: Una vez que su solicitud haya sido enviada, revisada y aprobada, recibirá un correo electrónico con instrucciones para cargar los documentos requeridos de identificación y comprobante de residencia a través de nuestra plataforma segura en línea.

INSCRIPCIÓN A KINDERGARTEN 2026–2027: PARA ESTUDIANTES ACTUALMENTE INSCRITOS EN EL PROGRAMA DE PRE-K DEL DISTRITO EN YMCA – HOLY NAME OF JESUS (2 Broadway, Valhalla, NY 10595)

Los estudiantes que actualmente están inscritos en Pre-K en YMCA Holy Name of Jesus y que planean asistir a Kindergarten en el Distrito Escolar Elmsford Union Free durante el año escolar 2026–2027 no necesitan completar una nueva inscripción en línea, ya que su información ya se encuentra registrada en el distrito.

Para ser elegible para Kindergarten, el niño o la niña debe cumplir ambos de los siguientes requisitos:

 

• Tener cinco (5) años de edad en o antes del 1 de diciembre de 2026

Cómo Solicitar:

 

El responsable de admisiones estará disponible en el centro en las fechas indicadas para reunirse con los padres/tutores. Durante estas reuniones presenciales, las familias tendrán la oportunidad de completar cualquier documentación adicional requerida para la inscripción a Kindergarten y entregar los documentos necesarios.
 

La información adicional sobre fechas, horarios de las reuniones y documentos requeridos se compartirá con las familias con anticipación.
