Letter From The Director

Elmsford Families,

I am honored to introduce myself as the new Director of Special Education and Pupil Personnel Services for the Elmsford Union Free School District. My name is Leah Zilich, and I am both excited and deeply committed to serving the incredible students and families of this community.

At the heart of my work is a firm belief that students must always be at the center of every decision we make. I am passionate about ensuring that each student receives the individualized support and tools they need to thrive, academically, socially, and emotionally. My approach is rooted in open and honest communication, genuine collaboration, and the belief that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated for who they are and what they can achieve.

I want every family to feel welcome, heard, and supported. My door is always open, whether you have a question, a concern, or simply want to introduce yourself. Together, I believe we can create an inclusive and empowering educational experience for all students.
