BUDGET VOTE: Tuesday, May 19, 2026 | 7am-9pm
Alice E. Grady Elementary School, Music Room

Dear Elmsford Community,

On April 8, the Elmsford Union Free School District Board of Education approved an expenditure budget of $48,098,741 for the 2026–2027 school year. The proposed tax levy increase is 1.98 percent.

This student-centered budget maintains and continues all current programs, preserves existing class sizes, includes funds to maintain and repair facilities within all schools, and seeks to ensure the safety and well-being of every student in our district.

The 2026–2027 budget focuses on the District’s multiyear priorities, which include:

• Increasing academic achievement and preparing graduates for future success;

• Engaging every learner in safe and supportive learning environments;

• Equipping, recruiting, and retaining highly effective educators and staff; and

• Utilizing effective, high-quality, cost-efficient operations.

The proposed budget also supports our district’s vision and mission. Our mission to “optimize teaching and learning for student achievement,” and our vision, “to maintain excellence and graduate each student prepared for college or career.”

The Elmsford Union Free School District budget vote and Board of Education Trustee election is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Music Room at Alice E. Grady Elementary School. Additional information regarding the proposed budget, voter eligibility, and absentee ballots are available at www.eufsd.org

Sincerely,

David Hecht, Board of Education President
