Peers As Leaders
The "Peers As Leaders" program identifies leaders within the school who are trained in instructional and experiential practices designed to facilitate workshops focused on responsibility and tolerance.
The program expanded to over 40 students who were trained in instructional delivery, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and conflict resolution. This year's PALs became mentors to our Alice E. Grady students and provided 1:1 mentoring through the NYS Mentoring program. The PALs are the shining stars of Alexander Hamilton!
The Promising Practices program highlights what’s going well in classrooms across America and the world. The program is simple in scope and recognizes many wonderful ideas from passionate teachers who are making a real difference in the lives of their students. Each Practice must be tied to one or more of Character.org’s 11 Principles of Effective Character Education.
